Dark nights, stars bright. Amazing how innocent childrens' rhymes could truly be so deep. Cyn smirked to herself, fingering her kunai. Too bad that all children must lose their innocence. Too bad that she was the one who took it. She yawned and stretched, her hair flowing unchecked over her shoulders and trapped between her and the tree trunk she was currently reclining against. Her Harlequin eyes closed and she smiled, thinking of him. She hadn't seen him in over a decade. He was her dream. Cyanide opened an eye slowly, feeling a gaze burning into her shoulderblades. If you're going to bother me, at least let me know who I'm about to kill.

Kurureenu trudged through the weeds unhappily, not really in the mood to talk to anyone. She just wanted to walk and clear everything from her shoulders. The girl sighed as she continued her trek.
Orochimaru keeps killing those who are around me... What a horrid man. she thought as she finally lifted her head and saw... a girl? She's older than me... A woman.
Kurureenu paused and was staring for a moment, noticing that this person was also a ninja as well. She forgot what she was doing and just kept on staring, realizing that it wasn't too good at all. It was rude actually.
"H-hi!" she finally called. She stuck to her spot and continued to watch the girl. "What brings you this way? I haven't seen you before, so you're probably not from around here... Then again, I'm finally started to get a bit more social, so I probably would have missed you, even if you were from around here," she ranted.

Cyn offered a mirthless smile. Oh, good. A child. Well, she wasn't so much older than the girl, simply more jaded and world-weary.
You do not know me. Without a doubt, I am no more than a faded nightmare to this village. Your parents wouldn't like you talking to me, young one. Your name. Tell it to me.
Her eyes closed again, not too concerned about the young one behind her. Oh, no doubt the girl would describe her strange appearance to someone. They'd think her a liar, or they'd be ready to hunt her down. Either way, it idn't much matter. She'd simply kill them all and return to her search. She'd spare the girl, though. The child looked rather worn down herself.
What ails you? You look disturbed.

Kurureenu tilted her head and glared toward the ground. "My parents are dead," she told her before looking up at her. "My name is Kurureenu. What's yours?"
This girl seemed quite relaxed right now to Kurureenu. Extremely mature too. Though she has some friends that can be considered quite mature... To a point.
"Do I really look so disturbed?" the girl asked, raising a brow slightly. She thought she was doing a good job hiding it too.

Cyanide was silent for a moment. Dead. Well, the child seemed in much better control of herself than Cyn had been.
I'm sorry for your loss. You seem strong for it.
Pain had a way of strengthening the soul, but of hardening it, as well. Kurureenu seemed to have kept hers in one piece, though. A kindhearted girl, from what Cyn could tell.
Aye. You do. Care to sit? I've decided it wouldn't be worth killing you after all, so you're safe. Why deny the world a spot of joy? Now, then. What is your problem?

Kurureenu tilted her head slightly toward her words. Strong? What part of her seemed strong for the death of her parents? She wanted to push everyone away and just be on her own. She wasn't the strong one here. Her friends were persistent on keeping their spots by her side.
"Now, only if you're not gonna kill me," she grumbled sarcastically, moving her position closer to the girl, but not sitting down. "Nothing is too much the problem currently. It's what has happened in the past that's trying to attack me now." Kurureenu smiled slightly and gave the girl a small side glance. "You still haven't told me your name. Or should I just invent something to call you?"

Cyanide just grinned at the girl.
The past will always haunt us. We must simply move under, around, above, or through it. The hardest path is the one that gives us fulfillment. My name is Cyanide, or Cyn for short. I don't answer to anything else. Now, tell me what haunts you. Your eyes have more to say than your words.
She stretched a little, satisfied when her back cracked.
Stupid tree. They never get any more comfortable.
Cyanide turned to stare at the girl for a moment, scowling.
What are you doing so far from the village alone? Don't you know that evil lives in this forest?
The only evil here is you, the thought echoed in her mind. Shut up, she growled to it.

"True..." Kurureenu whispered, smirking as she complained about the tree. "I used to sleep in them quite often. I learned to get comfy. It comes gradually," she murmured as she looked up. "And what bothers me is that there's someone in this world that keeps taking away those I love and I don't know who he'll take away next."
The girl gave a sideways glance toward the girl as she asked her about why she was so far away from the village alone and if she knows about the dangers that lie around here. Kurureenu looked up and shrugged. "I got kidnapped once already," she murmured. "And I'll let anything happen to me as long as it's not my friends. I love every person I know and don't know like they are family."

Cyanide laughed softly.
Willows are nice. But these damned hardwoods are exactly that. Hard wood. Mm. Does he have a name? I know how it feels to lose someone who is a part of you. To have that happen over and over....It deserves justice.
Cyanide gave her a quizzical look as she explained she'd been kidnapped.
You were kidnapped. And you're alright with it because it wasn't your friends? Don't you know that the only person you can truly look after and look out for is yourself? Save them, if it's in your interest or doesn't make a difference. Don't put yourself in danger simply to spare others from a possible harm! Do you know what could happen to you? Don't you think that getting yourself hurt would hurt them just as much as if it were them, not you?!
Cyn jumped to her feet, agitated, and began to pace. She growled under her breath, her white skin luminous as she started a fire. She glared at the girl beside her, then huffed quietly.
Okay. Sorry for the freak out. But you have to take care of yourself. Not many others will.

"I do take care of myself," Kurureenu murmured, watching the woman calmly. "I just take care of myself and the people around me to the best of my abilities. Then again, these hands can get carried away sometimes."
The girl looked toward the woman with her head tilted slightly and a small frown on her face. "And the person I'm talking about does have a name. A very well-known name. Especially around here. You know of a Sannin named Orochimaru, I'm assuming."

Cyanide sighed, grumbling under her breath about stubborn, bullheaded teenagers. Her grumbling abruptly ceased when she heard the name. The name she'd been searching for. She stiffened, her eyes glued to Kurureenu.
Orochimaru...? He's....here? Where is he? When was he last seen? I have to know, Kurureenu. This is very important. I need to find him!
Her eyes were intent, pleading with the girl.
I need to know...

Kurureenu stared toward the woman as it seems that her cool demeanor had dropped and she was begging the girl for the Sannin's location. The girl just sat with her sight stuck on the woman before changing her expression and tilting her head.
"I'm assuming that you also have something against him as well. He does tend to make a lot of enemies," Kurureenu muttered, looking down. "I'm sorry, but I'm not completely sure on his complete location. One day, he'll be in the Sound Country and the next, he'd be somewhere else. If I knew where he was right now, I'd be going after him this very minute."

Cyanide huffed out a breath, annoyed with herself for revealing how important it was to her. I...have things to discuss with him. He's, uhm, got a debt to pay.Cyn stared silently at the girl for a moment. Well, it's not your fault. If I were staying, I'd help you find him...That tricky bastard knows how to keep his trail wll-hidden. Of course he'd do anything he could to make my life harder. Her voice held a fond note in the gruff words, and she smiled at the girl. I might be able to stick around...When was the last time he came by to terrorize this village, anyway? I'm sure he's been bored. I haven't heard of any aimless deaths or mass destructions lately. He's been cautious, he has.((SOOOO sorry for the super-super late reply. >< I lost the URL. Found it! ))

(*Coughfailcough* It's okay. x) I replied super-late too!)
Kurureenu glanced back over toward the girl and raised a brow. "A debt he owes you?" Kurureenu murmured under her breath as she crossed her arms and looked up. "Debts... debts..." Her mind temporarily went off track before she shook her head and looked back toward the girl.
"We can find him together, if you'd like," she suggested, scratching the back of her head. "I'm sure he'll be back around in the very near future anyway."
