Kazi smiled and nodded. "Very good," he chuckled. "Thank you, Haruka." He noticed Kurureenu rolling her eyes again and giving him 'the look' that said that she didn't want him to start flirting with anyone. "Haruka, why don't you pick who you would like on your group. I would never be able to choose."
Kurureenu sighed, glaring toward Kazi, who only chuckled and ignored the girl. She knew him enough to practically know how he is sometimes. Sometimes, she'd wish he wasn't bi, but that wasn't like her.
"Oh... Then I respect your difference."

Haruka nodded slightly towards him and made a quick glance over towards Kurureenu, just as she gave Kazi the 'look'. He then listened to Kazi's question towards him, and he looked back towards Kazi, thinking for a moment, then finally made a decision. "I believe I should team up with Kurureenu, due to the fact that I'm used to her fighting style, and I have an obligation to keep an eye on her..."
Haruka paused for a moment, then looked over towards Kazi. "...which leaves you with Naruto. He is one to act first, think later." He noticed Naruto about to say something, and he interrupted with, "Though that may be the case, he is a fine ninja, and he uses Kage Bunshin to adapt to any situation, so you should do well with him." He said. Naruto shut his mouth and blinked. Did Haruka really give him a...compliment?
Haruka then whispered into Kazi's ear, "Do NOT let him get into Akatsuki hands. If you do, I will personally kill you." He then stepped back and smiled. "Alright, shall we be off?"

Kazi nodded slightly and smiled as he listened to Haruka explain about Naruto. After he whispered into his own ear, he actually frowned for once and returned a whisper toward Haruka. "You have an obligation to keep an eye on Kurureenu. If she get's hurt I'll return the favor to you."
Kurureenu was looking back momentarily, ignoring Haruka when he said that that he had an obligation to keep an eye on her. It was when he was finished whispering toward Kazi, the girl finally turned around to see Kazi frown momentarily and say something to Haruka.
Kazi glanced toward Kurureenu, realizing that he was about to get the look from her again, before he turned toward Naruto quickly. "Let's go, Naruto," he muttered quickly before starting off.
The blonde watched as Kazi started away and chuckled slightly before she approached Haruka. "Let's get started."

Haruka chuckled slightly. "Don't worry, I don't intend on letting her get hurt, ne...?" He whispered to Kazi once more, then stepped back towards Kurureenu with a slight chuckle escaping from his lips as he looked at the other three, nodding towards them.
Naruto blinked slightly as he witnessed the two whisper towards each other, wondering what it was about, but was disrupted by Kazi when he told him that it was time to go. He chuckled slightly and nodded towards him. "Hai!" He said as he started to run off.
Haruka looked towards Kurureenu as she said 'Let's get started' and he laughed slightly, nodding towards her. "Of course." He commented as he started off in the direction that they were going to go.

Kurureenu nodded and started off after him with a small smile. "Hope you don't mind my asking, but... what did Kazi say to you?" the curious girl asked with a bit of innocence. This was sometimes like her.
Kazi led the way, being sure that Naruto was still nearby as he done so. He kept all his senses open, ready for someone to attack or something.

Naruto continued to follow after Kazi, blinking slightly. He was somewhat confused on what they had talked about. "eh...Kazi-san, what did you and Haruka talk about, ne?"
Haruka looked back towards Kurureenu as she asked him the innocent question. He laughed slightly and gave his shoulders a slight shrug. "Pretty much what I told him. I told him not to let anything happen to Naruto, or I'd kill him, and he said the same thing, except with you."

Kurureenu scoffed slightly and rolled her eyes. "Figures that over-protective crazy guy decides to act over-protective," she murmured. "Otherwise, I wonder if anyone will ever notice that I can take care of myself..." Her voice faded and she glanced toward Haruka with another innocent smile.
Kazuki smiled slightly and shook his head. "Just Haruka being protective of his friends," Kazuki murmured with another one of his smiles. "Then I returned the favor."

"He has a right to be over-protective, though..." he murmured with a slight chuckle accompanying his words. At hearing her last statement, he simply shrugged his shoulders. "Everyone needs help every once and a while, ne..?" He said towards her, giving her a smile, before he continued running, slowing down a little due to noticing a chakra signature.
Naruto simply blinked slightly, before shrugging his shoulders and continuing his run with Kazuki. "I see..." Naruto commented with a shrug.

Kurureenu decreased her speed as well and glanced around. 'Everyone needs help except me. I'm perfectly happy just the way I am.' she thought, having it echo in her eyes as always as she done so. She roughly pushed her dragon-tail strand behind her left ear as she was thinking.
Kazuki nodded slightly. "Good, because I'm not too good at explaining a lot of stuff when people don't get it," he chuckled with a small smile.

Haruka halted in his tracks for a few moments, looking around the trees. He growled slightly and bit his thumb, doing a quick thing of handseals, then muttered, "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" He summoned an elemental bird, then sent a flare into the air. He then did another quick thing of handseals, "Katon: Housenka no Jutsu!" He called out, breathing fire in a direction. "Come out, Akatsuki...I know you're there."
Naruto blinked slightly as he looked up, pointing towards a flare that went into the sky. "Hey...I think Haruka sent up a flare, 'ttebayo.."

Kazuki glanced over toward where Naruto pointed and nodded. "I believe so. Let's go," he said quickly.
Kurureenu gazed around, ready for just about anything as a kunai of hers was being held behind her back, ready to throw it when needed. This was how she was anyway. 'C'mon... Do something...' she thought inpatiently, itching for a fight.
(... Lucky... I'm itching to kick some ass...)

Naruto nodded slightly towards the Jounin and grinned slightly, punching his hand with his fist. "Hai, Dattebayo! Let's go!!" Naruto exclaimed as he started to run off towards where the flare came from.
"Sharp eyes as ever, Haruka-kun..." Came a deep voice from out of nowhere as a male with long hair stepped out from the darkness. Sharingan eyes stared the two down. "Come with us, and nothing will happen to you..." "Come on, Itachi, don't you think I need to chop a leg or two off so he doesn't run?" Kisame asked.
Haruka rolled his eyes towards them as he closed his eyes, re-opening them with lightning engulfing them. He growled slightly towards himself. They still aren't at their full stage...I'm not sure how well I'll hold up against Itachi... Haruka thought to himself as he looked towards Itachi, making sure not to look into his eyes. "Kurureenu...don't look into Itachi's eyes...he immediately casts genjutsu on who looks into that Sharingan of his." "You've done your research..." Itachi commented, pulling out three Kunai.
Haruka gritted his teeth. "Damn! Soushi Shouheki!" [Element Barrier] Haruka yelled out, a barrier of elements surrounding them, soon being hit by a very powerful Fireball Jutsu. Kisame laughed slightly. "He's got talent for only being a chuunin...what about that girl?" "Lay off!" Haruka commented, doing quick handseals. "Boruto Arashi!"[Volt Storm] A cloud appeared appeared in the air and sent strong thunderbolts towards Itachi and Kisame. They both dodged.
"Seems they're putting a resistance, Itachi." Kisame commented with a grin. "looks like things can get fun..."

Kazuki nodded with a slight smile before starting off as well toward the flare. You better do a good job, Kurureenu. No making mistakes and pay attention! he thought.

When the two came out of hiding, Kurureenu took the time to just look at them, seeing if there was something that can promote a flaw to their abilities phisically. She listened to Haruka warn her to not look into Itachi's eyes and she just kept to watching their torsos instead, knowing that she shouldn't take her eyes off her enemy at all.
After the Elemental Barrier, she listened to Haruka speak and concentrated a little bit on what she should do, watching the two dodge Haruka's attack. She kept her grip on her kunai, thinking, waiting, and paying attention.
That just shows how good she is at multi-tasking sometimes.

"Just remember, Kisame, when need the boy Alive. If you kill him, he will be of absolute uselessness toward us." Itachi warned the water nin. Kisame grinned slightly towards Haruka and readied his sword the Sharkskin, taking the wrapping off of it. "Oh, I won't kill him, but I will be SURE to enjoy this." Kisame said with a grin.
Haruka glared toward them and sighed slightly. "Too bad you won't be laying a hand on either of us." Haruka commented as he did a quick assembly of hand signs. "Katon! Gouakyu no Jutsu!" [Fireball Jutsu] He yelled out as he sent out an extremely hot, large fireball towards the Akatsuki pair.
Kisame grinned slightly towards Haruka. "Fire is weak against water, kid." He commented as he did many hand seals, though making it only look like one. "Suiton! Bakusui Shouha!" [Large Wave] He looked toward the ground and spit out an enormous amount of water, creating a large wave aimed right toward them. He then did another hand seal. "Suiton! Suikoudan no Jutsu!" [Man eating water shark] He formed a large shark and sent it straight toward Kurureenu.
Haruka looked over toward Kurureenu. What?! Why is he aiming for her?! He growled slightly and did his own formation of hand seals. "Doton! Doryuuheki!"[Massive Landwall] He moved Kurureenu back and sent a surge of chakra into the ground, creating a massive wall of earth. Kisame grinned. "Wow. Where'd you learn that?" "Kisame...stop fooling around." Itachi commented emotionlessly

Kurureenu was about ready to do something of her own. If she had more than enough time to think, since her reaction timings were always lacking in one way or another. Before she even realized, Haruka was already taking it into his own hands and putting up a barrier. The girl sighed and murmured a thanks, still keeping her sight on the opponents like she was always taught, but avoiding the eyes.
C'mon Kurureenu... Stop being the damsel in distress and do something better than stand around all the time. a voice in her head grumbled. Kurureenu kept herself from making a face but did increase the intensity of her glare a bit. It was obvious to her that Haruka was completely better than her, but she wanted to do more than be rescued all the time.
Okay, okay... Game face.
(I'm still wondering if that's me or Kurureenu. XD Either way, bound to get a chuckle.)
